Day 6 ~My Day~

Today has been pretty normal, actually.  Errands and such.  It's around the first of the month, so the type of errands are the ones I hate... Run around and give away our money so that we can keep living in our house and have lights, water and heat.  So much fun!

I actually got a head start on the day because my niece asked me to take her to school this morning.  It's not so bad to have the niece that loves to watch Kahlan owe me a little here and there.  ;)

We came home and I paid bills (oh joy) and then ate lunch.  We then dropped off the water payment, the rent, and the phone payment.  Then I went by the bank and Target.  At Target we manged to get a DVD of "Horton Hears a Who" for $5!!  If anyone is interested, there's info on how to do it here.

After all that, we still needed to go to the commissary.  I had made up a list (yay me!) of all the things that we needed to complete meals for a week and have snacks.  I only added one thing to my cart that wasn't on my list!  And that was sweet potatoes, which, luckily, are pretty healthy.  So all in all, not a bad trip to the store!

While I was putting my groceries away, I noticed the condiments in the door of my fridge weren't in date.  So I ended up on a fridge purge... which took a while.  Got all the groceries away, and then decided what was for dinner.

I fixed up my favorite recipe for broccoli and bacon soup.  Got burnt a few times fixing the bacon, but it's worth it!  It'll be even better tomorrow as left overs.  Yes, tomorrow, and possibly the next day, will be leftovers in this house... =)

This evening needs to consist of picking up the kitchen, doing the dishes, doing the diaper laundry, putting away laundry, picking up the toys, and vacuuming.  I'll be lucky if we get the leftovers put away...
