So here is the start to Kahlan's tutu for her birthday! I got all the tulle cut and attached to the tutu, however I have not trimmed up the bottom yet because I want to wait until she is closer to her birthday to get the right length. I'm afraid I'll cut it too short! So I haven't fluffed the tulle yet, so it will be more full when I finish it. I also changed the waistband a little- I sewed a button on one end and then cut slits in the elastic to make it adjustable, just like the adjustable waistbands on pants! This way I can add a few bundles of tulle and make it work for her to plan dress up or whatever as she gets bigger.
